CYCLING

The region of Notranjska is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cycling destinations in Slovenia. Its many forest trails, dirt roads and local paths offer a variety of biking trips for cyclists of all stripes. You can visit most tourist attractions by bike, although you may want to avoid main roads with heavy traffic. The weather is good for cycling between March and the end of October. Visitors with their own bikes may park their vehicles in public car parks in any town, at their farm stays, hotels, etc.  Bikes can be rented at farm stays, pensions and hotels. Large groups must reserve bikes in advance.
